Noboru is a 10 year-old Japanese descendant in search of his cultural identity. He turns to his grandfather Hideo as he starts investigating his family’s history. Despite always avoiding his past, he agrees to tell Noboru his story. As Noboru digs into his family’s past, he finds out he has an uncle he never met and, even worse, he didn’t even know about.
